The Sanskrithi Youth Fest 2024 showcased a kaleidoscope of talents and energies, creating an atmosphere of excitement and creativity. Over 1600 participants from 31 educational institutions all over AP assembled at Sanskrithi grounds to mark the beginning of the 6-day Sanskrithi Youth Fest, 2024.
A week-long celebration of youth, skills and talent, the fest covered sports competitions in basketball, volleyball, throwball, kabbadi cricket and table tennis. Across days 4, 5, and 6, was a sensory feast of cultural performances, savoury foods, colourful rangolis, artistic creations, melodious musical performances, mesmerizing dances, and a joyous alumni reunion.
The event was inaugurated by Sri Madhav Reddy S.V, IPS, District Superintendent of Sri Sathya Sai Police, Puttaparthi. Led by the bicycle squad and marching squad of the SGI NSS Wing, Sri Madhav Reddy hoisted the Tricolour.
Addressing the students, faculty and participants, he joyfully noted that the turnout in large numbers is proof of the love for sports and sportsmanship in youth. Emphasizing on the need for educational institutions to make sports an integral part of academics, Sri Madhav Reddy closed his address. As the chief guest, he took upon the role of tossing the coin at the first match of the day between the home team, the SGI Cricket team and the visitors, the SSS Police team. February 21, 2024, was the prizes distribution ceremony day for the 6-day Sanskrithi Youth Fest 2024 sports segment.
A total of 1684 participants and 134 teams from 31 institutions participated in various sports like cricket, kabbadi, volleyball, basketball, table tennis and chess. Cash prizes worth 2 lakhs were given away to the winners and runner-ups.
It was a triumphant moment as the Sanskrithi Group cricket team lifted the Winners Cup, taking home a cash prize of INR 25000, after a tough match with Sri Sai Degree College, ATP.
The Basketball Winner Cup found its place with the team from MBU, Tirupathi. Runner-ups were Sri Sai Baba National Degree College, ATP.
The women’s and men’s teams from Annamacharya Inst. of Technology and Sciences bagged the Winners Cup in Kabbadi.
The champs of Volleyball (M) were the Government Degree College team from Bukkapatnam. The runner-up team was the Sanskrithi School of Engineering team.
The volleyball (W) winner title went to JNTUA. The Sanskrithi School of Engineering team were runner-up.
The table tennis Winner cups went to JNTUA in both categories.
The cultural events for the Sanskrithi Youth Fest 2024 were conducted on the days 03 and 04 of the 6-day fest. Dance, music, singing, instrumental music, rangoli, and ramp walk competitions were held.
Participants showcased their dancing skills in diverse categories such as classical dance and Western dance, as solo, duet or groups. Each performance was a unique blend of creativity and tradition, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of our country. The judges for the various events awarded the prizes to the winners.
An energetic flash mob dance greeted the students in the morning. The Youth Fest celebrations concluded on Feb 24, 2024, with a joyous alumni reunion and a celebratory lunch for students, faculty and alumni.
Beyond being a fest, the Sanskrithi Youth Fest 2024 embodied the students’ spirited essence and multifaceted talents, underscoring unity, creativity and the spirit of sports.
