Ae Watan Mere Watan~ Independence Day Celebrations 2023

Aug 15, 2023, marked the 77th Independence Day of free India. These 76 years have seen India grow from a colonial suppressed peninsula to a world leader, wielding a year-long presidency of G20.

Be it the struggle for Independence, or the fight against the CoVid-19 pandemic, India has always held its stead and also supported others during tumultuous times. Asserted to soon become a USD 5 trillion economy, India will soon emerge as the growth engine for the world in forthcoming years.

Proud to be born in a country that is rich in diversity, culture and opportunities, the Sanskrithi Group of Institutions celebrated Independence Day, by hoisting the Tricolor at the campus.

Led by the Head Boy and captains of various clubs, a Tricolor contingent accompanied the Dean and HoDs of various departments.

The flag was hoisted, and the assembly saluted the Tricolor and sang the National Anthem.

Dr Bala Koteswari spoke on the duties of the citizen of the country and the responsibilities students must shoulder towards improving the community.

TM Imran, Sanskrithi Toastmasters Club, spoke on the growth of India to a superpower nation.

Ms Sahasra performed a classical dance, followed by a drill of paper fans, by the third-year students. This was followed by human pyramids by third-year students.

The event concluded with the singing of Vande Mataram, sweets distribution and a photo session with the participants and organizers.

Proudly this Independence Day celebration at SGI was entirely constituted and performed by girl students, a testament to the statement in 𝙃𝒐𝙣𝒐𝙧𝒂𝙗𝒍𝙚 𝙋𝑴’𝐬 𝒂𝙙𝒅𝙧𝒆𝙨𝒔 at the Red Fort, “𝑻𝙝𝒆 𝒐𝙣𝒆 𝒕𝙝𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝒕𝙝𝒂𝙩 𝙬𝒊𝙡𝒍 𝒕𝙖𝒌𝙚 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙘𝒐𝙪𝒏𝙩𝒓𝙮 𝙛𝒐𝙧𝒘𝙖𝒓𝙙 𝙞𝒔 𝒘𝙤𝒎𝙚𝒏-𝒍𝙚𝒅 𝒅𝙚𝒗𝙚𝒍𝙤𝒑𝙢𝒆𝙣𝒕.”

Continuing to work towards a flourishing India.
Jai Hind.
